Manual Osteopathy - (Adults Men & Women)
IS MANUAL OSTEOPATHY RIGHT FOR YOU?
Manual Osteopathy is a gentle , hands-on therapy, focusing on restoring function and eliminating pain by addressing the root cause of the pain, imbalance, injury or illness. Manual Osteopathy is an effective treatment on its own as well as in conjunction with other manual therapies including; physiotherapy , chiropractic, acupuncture, naturopath, and massage therapy.
Techniques used may include Soft Tissue, Visceral Manipulation, Craniosacral Therapy, Osteoarticulations and Advanced Fascial Release.
Treatments are often performed clothed in gym attire, and require little to no oil/lotion. We use maximum precision with minimal force, making treatments SAFE for all ages, including newborns, elderly & during pregnancy.
MANUAL OSTEOPATHY CAN HELP IF:
You continue to experience pain after receiving conventional treatment or the pain continues to return
You have had a traumatic injury, fall, accident or sports injury
You have postural imbalances
You are experiencing prenatal discomforts and/or postpartum recovery
You had surgery
You are suffering from digestive problems, constipation, migraines, menstrual pain or unexplained pain or symptoms
You are suffering from anxiety, depression, PTSD or other traumatic life event
WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR FIRST TREATMENT:
A detailed health history will be taken and an assessment will be conducted. Assessments may include, but are not limited to: range of motion tests, hands-on assessment of joints, muscles, fascia, and/or viscera (organs). Your therapist may focus on an area far away from the area that hurts, working in a systematic approach to address ROOT causes of the pain or dysfunction.
